Welcome To Prometedor

Hola! Welcome to Prometedor, a Baja Coast style vacation hood for The Sims 2 Bon Voyage.

Installation instructions are the same as those posted for Isle St Croix, but in a nutshell:

  • Back up your game
  • Place the T002 folder into your Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Bon Voyage\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate, NOT into your My Documents\EA Games folder.
  • **You cannot have two defaults in your game at the same time.**
If you are already using the other default BV district of Isle St.Croix, you will need to remove the M002
  • See the Read Me file for further details
You can find more details here, at The Sims Resource.

Highpoint Hotel

Set in rocky, tree lined hills at the top of the mountain. Outside there is a rock pool and two hot tubs, inside there is an indoor swimming pool, a large lounge area and arcade machines all on the lower floor. On the middle floor there are four rooms, one with one double bed, one with a double and a single bed, one with two single beds and one with three single beds. There are also TVs, a pool table, chess tables in the lounge on the middle floor.
On the top floor is the large suite to take a whole family group, or perhaps a large group of friends. This room has one double bedroom, one with a double and a single bed, one with one single bed and one with two single beds. This suite has a TV and dining with seating for the whole group. There are also two single rooms on this floor. Only the large suite has a TV, all rooms have bathrooms and there are also public bathrooms on the ground floor.
The lot is large and it will take your sims a while to get from one point to another, that is unless they have the energy to run to wherever you want them to be! ;)

Room prices: from $838 - $3,033. Note the highest priced room is one huge suite that sleeps eight people.

Heartland House

Heartland House is an extra lot for Isle St Croix. It was built on a section of Isle St Croix which is accessible to people with a camera hack.

Ideally, you need the Pets EP for this one, mainly because of the black fence/trim around the staging, however it
will still work without it.

The attached map shows the ideal place on the Island to place the lot to avoid the ground warping, however it is up to you.

Welcome to Isle St Croix!

Isle St Croix is a custom made mountain vacation resort for the Sims 2 Bon Voyage.

Designed to complement the Beacon Falls hood, it can be added to any neighbourhood, alongside the existing holiday destinations.

FOR YOUR OWN BENEFIT, AND *BEFORE INSTALLING* THIS DEFAULT, PLEASE BACK UP YOUR MY DOCUMENTS\EA GAMES FOLDER.
Then if anything goes wrong, you would delete your current My Documents\EA Games folder and replace it with the back up.
Or alternatively just delete the Neighborhoods folder from inside the EA Games\The Sims 2 folder and replace that with a copy of the backed up Neighborhoods folder.
NEVER OVERWRITE A NEIGHBORHOODS FOLDER, IT WILL CORRUPT THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND MAKE IT UNUSABLE.

Isle St. Croix should be safe, this is 'just in case' advice if anything should go wrong.

Nothing else needs deleting/moving or backing up in your Program Files folder, Isle St. Croix will not replace any of your Bon Voyage destinations as it has a different ID and folder number. It will be available as a choice in the list of vacation destinations when you click to choose a holiday neighborhood. This won't affect any other holiday destinations, it's 'as well as' and not instead of any Bon Voyage neighborhood that you currently play.

This default neighborhood has been made with AnyGameStarter using the base game/Uni/NL/OfB/Seasons and BV, if you don't have any of those EP's, then specific items like pool tables, the ice rink etc won't show up.
If you don't have one or more of those EP's, it would be a good idea to check the lots before sending sims there, then you would be able to replace any missing walls/flooring/items.

INSTALLATION:
Place the M002 folder into your Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Bon Voyage\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate, NOT into your My Documents\EA Games folder.
If you have any problems, please contact lechapeau through the Beacon Falls website or through the email address at the end of these instructions.

To uninstall Isle St. Croix:
Simply delete the M002 folder from your Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Bon Voyage\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate.
If however Isle St. Croix is already attached to any of your neighborhoods, then deleting it from the Program files will not delete it from those neighborhoods. It would just delete this neighborhood from the list of Bon Voyage destinations available, to delete it from your neighborhoods you will need to use the trashcan icon from within the game.

Please see the Read Me file, for further details.

One thing to be aware of is that you can only have one custom holiday destination in your program files at any given time. We're not aware of any others right now, but that's not to say there aren't any out there or that there won't be in the future. If you do have more than one, simply swap out and replace with Isle St Croix until it's added. Doing this will not affect hoods currently attached, only the selection available!

Balloth - New Business District

This version is made with Numenor’s AnyGameStarter program, using just the base game and OfB expansion pack. It will work any combination of packs, so long as you have OfB installed. It has been tested on several PCs and the problem we had with the all ep version does not exist in this one.

As detailed below, you'll need to swap out the existing B001 folder with this one.

This has been packed as a .rar file; you'll need a program such as WinRar or Extract Now to unpack it.
